Sculpting a Younger Face with the Silhouette InstaLift

Middle-aged woman enjoying smoother skin after the Silhouette InstaLift

This year has brought a boom of interest in facelift surgery. With more people working from home, tmore people are seeing themselves during virtual meetings. With more people seeing themselves, we’re talking with more people who want to address some cosmetic concern. Common complaints include statements like “I want to look younger.” They also get more specific, like “My face has no shape!” or “I have no cheekbones anymore” or “My face is saggy.” And we used to think that wrinkles were the worst cosmetic problem we’d face.

The fact of the matter is that the face is going to age. How it does that and how quickly it happens, though, is up to each individual. If you’d like to look like a younger version of yourself and would like to do so without surgery, the Silhouette InstaLift is worth consideration.

What Is Silhouette InstaLift?

Silhouette InstaLift is an FDA-approved facial rejuvenation procedure that repositions tissue using a non-invasive technique. The InstaLift works by bringing droopy tissue upward across the mid-face to reset the cheekbones. Bringing tissue upward eradicates drooping jowls that have settled along the jawline. In addition to immediately refreshing the face, a Silhouette InstaLift promotes ongoing improvements via its tiny collagen cones that get absorbed over time.

A Facelift on Your Lunch Break

The process is one that you could have done on your lunch hour, it is so efficient! It takes about an hour and provides immediate improvements like a smoother, more angular jawline and reduced creases around the nose and mouth. The procedure requires only a local anesthetic that numbs the treatment area. The doctor repositions tissue by inserting a small needle at a low point on the face. The needle is moved up and out, stringing a line of fine, coned filament beneath the skin. The needle exits the skin at a higher point near the cheekbone, and the filament stays in place. The doctor presses on the skin to help the bidirectional cones “catch” deeper tissues and secure them in place.

The surgical facelift has gained several competitors in recent years. We are proud to offer the Silhouette InstaLift as a nonsurgical option for dramatic facial rejuvenation. To learn more, contact Westerville Dermatology at 614-895-0400.
